Indication:
Levitra is used to treat erectile dysfunction or impotence. It works as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor which relaxes the muscles and increases the blood flow into the penis during sexual stimulation. It helps men achieve and maintain an erection. Levitra may also be used for purpose other than to treat erectile dysfunction.
How to take:
Levitra is a prescription drug. Take it exactly as prescribed by the physician. Never take it in large doses or for longer period than recommended. Take each dose with a full glass of water. Levitra is taken only when needed 60 minutes before sexual stimulation. Allow 24 hours to pass between doses. If erection last more than 4 hours contact physician immediately. A prolonged erection may damage the penis.
Precautions:
When taking Levitra, avoid alcohol intake as it may increase some side effects of the drug. Do not drink drink grapefruit juice while using Levitra. Do not use it with other drugs that are used to treat impotence unless recommended by the physician. Inform the doctor of any medications used to avoid any drug interaction. Do not take Levitra if patient is using a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problem, this may cause serious decrease in blood pressure, leading to fainting, stroke or heart attack.
